About Removable Dentures And partials
At Martin Dentistry in Indianapolis and Fishers, IN, we understand that tooth loss can occur due to various factors such as oral diseases, decay, or trauma. Custom dentures serve as an effective solution to restore both the function and appearance of the mouth and teeth.
Our experienced team of dentists—Dr. Matt Martin, Dr. Stephanie Martin, Dr. Lindsey Garrison, and Dr. Lynn Marshall—offer tailored options to meet each patient's unique needs. Depending on the extent of tooth loss, we can create custom dentures, including complete dentures for both upper and lower teeth, or partial dentures to replace some but not all of the teeth.
At Martin Dentistry, we provide both removable dentures, which can be taken out as needed, and implant dentures, which are anchored securely into the jawbone for enhanced stability and function. Regardless of the type chosen, all dentures from our practice are custom-made using high-quality materials and meticulously adjusted to ensure a proper fit and comfortable bite.
We are committed to educating our patients about their treatment options and guiding them through every step of the denture process.

What to Expect
Removable dentures and partials are usually completed in 2-4 appointments with the dentist. Once the mouth is prepared for the dentures, the dentist will take molds of the patient’s mouth to send to the dental laboratory. While the custom dentures are being made, the patient may be given a set of temporary dentures to wear. Once the dentures are returned to the dentist, the patient will return to have their new dentures or partials fitted and learn about proper appliance care. The patient may need to return in 2-4 weeks so the dentist can re-check the fit of the denture/ partials and the patient’s bite.
Treatment Aftercare
Removable dentures and partials will need to be cleaned frequently, following the care instructions provided by the dentist. With proper care, removable dentures usually last 2-10 years. Patients should continue to schedule annual dental exams so the dentist can check the gums, any remaining teeth, and the condition of the dentures.
Comfortable and Functional
If you are missing some or all of your teeth, consider removable dentures to restore your smile and the function of your teeth. With removable dentures, from Martin Dentistry you can smile and eat with confidence.
