The patient presented with a painful tooth that was fractured through the root. The tooth was removed and allowed to heal. In about 16 weeks the implant was placed. There was adequate bone without involving the sinus. A porcelain crown was used to complete the treatment.

Implant Restoration

The tooth in question had frcatured and could not be saved.  The tooth was removed and the site was grafted and allowed to heal.  The teeth on either side were sound and healthy so a brdige, which involves crowning the adjacent teeth, would have been too invasive.  The implant will allow for normal use, flossing and care.  At Martin Dentistry this implant case was completed in about 4-5 months.  There were a total of 5 appointmnets, the initial emergency exam and extraction, the post op to observe healing, the placemnt of the implant, the impression for the crown and then the delivery.
