In this case, the surrounding teeth were not good candidates to use in a bridge to fill the missing space. The bridge would have tied the teeth together and an implant will allow the teeth to be independent. The implant was placed and allowed to heal for about 12 to 14 weeks and then the crown was delivered 2 weeks later. The placement appointment was about a half hour in length.
