White Spots fixed with Resin Bonding

White Spots

Before

After

A resin filling material was used to blend into the natural shade of the teeth. White spots can form for a variety of reasons including, loss of enamel and incorrect formation of the enamel. These spots are not painful and do not spread, but they can stand out more if the shade of the tooth changes.

A Conservative Treatment

Veneers or crowns would be to invasive and costly for this treatemnt.  The patient did not require numbning for this treatment and the procedure lasted about a half hour with four teeth being treated.  The white spots were gently appraided away and a matching resin material was used to blend color and make the area smooth again.  These restorations should last years.
